Welcome to The Earls High Teaching School Alliance website.  The Earls High became a Teaching School in Cohort 3, April 2013 and its alliance strategic partners are:

Blythe Bridge High, Staffordshire
Halesowen College, Dudley
Holyhead High, Birmingham
Newfield Park Primary, Dudley
OLEVI
Perryfields High, Sandwell
University of Wolverhampton

We have been involved in the development of Teaching School since 2009 and have a significant strength in CPD provision on Leadership and Teaching and Learning.  We are an Associate School for OLEVI and work closely with them to develop new and existing programmes and to quality assure facilitation across the region and nationally.  We have a range of development programmes with dates available throughout the year.  They are suitable for primary, secondary and tertiary staff.  These include programmes for classroom based support staff.  We are able, in discussion, to provide bespoke packages for schools and are currently doing so for schools in Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham and Wiltshire.

We are fully committed to supporting school improvement, in partnership with others, recognising that this is a two way relationship from which staff and students at The Earls High also benefit.  We have a developing expertise in finance and administrative guidance and support for schools, including staffing structure reviews.

We are in the process of increasing our involvement in Initial Teacher Education working with a number of Higher Education providers, including a very close partnership with the University of Wolverhampton.  We have School Direct places and are available as a lead school for other institutions.  These include primary and secondary places.
